The series of thanksgiving events continues throughout Azad Kashmir following the historic success of the ‘Operation Bunyad Marsus’. A large rally was organized in Muzaffarabad under the auspices of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund and the Bird Foundation.
Participants took part in the rally holding the flags of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, while banners bore slogans thanking the Pakistani armed forces. The atmosphere resonated with chants of “Long Live Pakistan.”
The rally was attended by the Mayor of the Municipality, Syed Sikandar Gilani, educationist Tariq Shafi, councilors Rashid Zargar, Khurram Naqvi, Karamat Gilani, Tahira Kazmi from the Bird Foundation, along with scouts, political and social leaders, and students.
In his address, Mayor Syed Sikandar Gilani said that those who underestimated Pakistan and its armed forces have received a practical response. He further stated that the whole world witnessed the resounding response to India, bringing a wave of joy among the oppressed Muslim community.
Educationist Tariq Shafi presented a cap, gifted by his student who reached the rank of Vice Chief Air Marshal, to the child leading the scouts.
Rashid Zargar, in his speech, said that when Muslims respond with their full strength, the help of Allah is with them. Khurram Naqvi stated that the enthusiasm of the people is evident in the thanksgiving rallies and that the public is united with the armed forces of Pakistan.
