KARACHI: Different parts of Tharparkar in Sindh received rain on Monday, bringing much-needed respite for the people of the district who often suffer because of draught-like conditions in their district due to less rainfall.
The Met Office said that a rain producing system had entered southern and south-eastern parts of Sindh and that more rains were expected in Tharparkar and its adjoining areas during the next 24 hours.
It said gusty and dust-raising winds are likely in upper Sindh with rain-wind and thunderstorm. Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-wind/thunderstorm occurred at a few places in upper Punjab, northeastern Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.
