Islamabad Traffic Police have penalized over 33,000 motorists for improper license plates this year as part of a citywide operation. Enforcement teams, deployed at various checkpoints under the direction of Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, have impounded numerous automobiles and removed non-regulation plates.
Chief Traffic Officer, Captain (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider, instructed zonal officers to escalate enforcement. He stressed the importance of upholding traffic regulations within the capital and ordered continued, impartial action against offenders. The objective is to ensure compliance and strengthen the rule of law.
Haider further urged citizens to promptly register their vehicles and motorcycles and to display only authorized license plates issued by the excise and taxation department.
