QUETTA: Three coal miners were suffocated to death at PDC coal mine in Sraghurgae area of Quetta on Monday.
According to rescue sources, three coal miners were suffocated to death in PDC coal mine of Sraghatgae area of Quetta. The bodies, identified as Abdullah, Naseebullah and Mirza Khan, were shifted to Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Quetta and later handed over to the heirs after fulfilling necessary Medici-legal formalities.
Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, while expressing heartfelt grief and sorrow over the loss of three miners in a coal mine incident, said that bereaved family members would be assisted financially. Directing the concerned authorities of Mines and Minerals Development Departments to review measures for the safety of miners working in coal mines of the province, he said that the owners of the coal mines be bound to ensure taking safety measures for the safety of miners.
