LARKANA: Three protests were held separately at Jinnah Bagh here on Wednesday by residents of Suhail Colony for provision of basic facilities to their colony, another protest was held by a man along with his daughters at the same place for eliminating drug dens in Old Dhobi Ghat area of Pir Sher Road which are operating under the supervision of cops due to which thefts have increased in the area and yet another protest took place by gypsies of Bakrani Tower area against highhandedness of their influential uncle who forcibly wanted to sale three girls.
According to details, Dr. Shoukat Abro, Ghulam Nabi Pirzado, Rafique Magsi, and others of Suhail Colny complained before media persons that there is no electricity, gas, drainage system and the streets are filled with filth in their locality since past 30 years hence they are forced to live in stone age era even today.
They said that during elections political people constantly made fake and fabricated commitments that after elections all required basic facilities will be provided to the colony but nothing has yet been done and the government’s public health engineering department is working under their noses but without any benefits to the poor residential areas and taxpayers. They demanded provision of fundamental facilities.
Shafi Muhammad Jatoi along with his daughters Samreen, Samina Khatoon and Khadija Jatoi alleged that drug dens are openly and daringly operating in Old Dhobi Ghat are of Pir Sher Road under the supervision of Ali Goharabad police due to which thefts and other crimes have become very common and the police is in deep sleep because several applications have been sent to them but without any result so far. He urged the higher police officers to take notice of the vital issue as young people were losing their precious lives almost daily and order wiping out all social evils.
In another protest by gypsies including Badar Munir Bhatti, his mother Shamim Khatoon, Mumtaz Khatoon, Rabia, Tahiran and others who alleged that his uncle Saddar Bhatti along with his brother Altaf Bhatti and others attacked our makeshift house a few days back due to which our family members were wounded but Allahabad police station cops did not register their report. He said his uncle asked him a few days back to hand over his three sisters Anjali, Shabo and Bahar Bhatti to sell them but he refused. He said after that his uncle had become his enemy. He urged higher authorities to intervene and provide justice.
