TIANJIN, China, Sept. 23, 2019 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/– The Xiongan Service Center of the Tianjin Port Group was inaugurated on August 21, with the opening of the Tianjin Port’s green channel for the Xiongan New Area. Twenty container convoys full of rubber products drove from the core area of the Xiongan New Area to Tianjin Port that day, opening a new chapter for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Since the establishment of the the Xiongan New Area, Tianjin Port has made full use of its global advantages to serve the Xiongan New Area’s planning and construction by focusing on building a service platform and the Xiongan New Area’s gateway to the sea.
Now, a front-end service platform is in place, including the Xiongan Service Center of the Tianjin Port Group and three logistics service nodes in Baoding, Shengfang and Baigou. Meanwhile, special passages and windows have been set up at the port container terminals and the Tianjin International Trade and Shipping Service Center to provide green passage for the Xiongan New Area’s import and export goods.
The Tianjin Port Group’s affiliates have also signed a agreement to co-develop the green channel with three Hebei firms. All parties will build on the construction of the smart Tianjin Port to deepen the cooperation of anhydrous ports, form a modern logistics channel with the Hebei regional headquarters of Tianjin Port’s inland marketing network as the core, realize efficient, accurate and convenient inter-connectivity, and offer strong support for the Xiongan New Area’s infrastructure construction, people’s livelihood needs and key projects.
