Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab 1st Lake District Chakwal 4X4 Challenge

Lahore, April 05, 2019 (PPI-OT): Punjab Minister for Tourism, Raja Hamayun Sarfraz announced the dates of Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) 1st Lake District Chakwal 4×4 Challenge. Rally in a media briefing at TDCP Head Office, Lahore. Raja Hamayun Sarfraz said that Chakwal – Lake District located 90 kilometres south-east of the Federal Capital, Islamabad and 270 kilometres from the Provincial Capital, Lahore. Chakwal is considered as a Valley of lakes and springs, lush green fertile fields, versatile mountains, amazing landscape, dense mixed forests, sanctuaries of wildlife, brave peoples of high traditions, rich archaeology, pre-historic sites and ancient history.

Chakwal’s hidden treasure comprises of number of natural and historical attractions such as canyons, lakes, hills and unique landscape. Punjab Minister for Tourism further said that to highlight the beauty of this wonderland of Punjab and to introduce it nationally and internationally, the TDCP is organizing Lake District Chakwal 4×4 Challenge on 06th and 07th April, 2019. The main object of rally are; to highlight the cultural and historical assets and natural beauty of Chakwal; to spread harmony and unity through people to people contact; to generate socio-economic activity and to promote motor sports.

Punjab Minister for Tourism, Raja Hamayun Sarfraz added that the present government of PTI has been focusing on the promotion tourism across Pakistan and have taken many new initiatives in this regard. The Minister said this rally would help to promote tourism in Lake District of Chakwal and in near future I have seen the tourist flow increase in this region. The arrangements of rally have been finalized and about 40 to 50 drivers would test their skills in this adventurous track. On 6th April the qualifying round will be held and on 7th April after the conclusion of race a prize distribution ceremony would be held and prizes would be distributed among the winners.
