Islamabad, August 09, 2018 (PPI-OT): A seminar on ‘Compliance of National / International Standards for Export of Textiles and Garments’ was hosted by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan at Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore on August 09, 2018. Director General TDAP Mian Riaz Ahmad welcomed the distinguished speakers and leading business personnel from the textiles and garments sector. Mian Riaz Ahmad, DG TDAP shed light on TDAP’S initiatives for enhancement of exports as envisaged by Mr. Younus Dagha, Secretary Commerce under the ambit of “Emerging Pakistan”. He also prayed that the bond between TDAP and business community continues to grow stronger through these interactive sessions that focus on addressing challenges to exports and providing a way forward.
Mr. Kamran Sindhu, Project Director Pakistan Readymade Garments Technical Training Institute presented an overview of the “Value Added Garment Sector Challenge and Way Forward”. Speaker Mr. Ikram Ullah Javed, CSR Manager for Mashhoft Pvt Ltd presented on “Compliance and Standards for Exports of Textiles”. The audience profusely appreciated the efforts and arrangements made by TDAP for such an enlightening session.
