Karachi, February 20, 2019 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla has directed to arrange training of newly appointed Excise and Taxation officers and promoted Assistant Directors at Anti-Narcotics Forces Academy at Islamabad. Secretary Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Abdul Rahim Shaikh, Director Generals Shabbir Ahmed Shaikh, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui and other officers also attended the meeting. Director General Narcotics Control Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, while briefing the meeting told that the department intended to arrange a training program for these Officers at ANF Academy Islamabad.
In this regard the department had asked ANF and training would be provided in the fields of Preparation of case file, intelligence/ investigation/prosecution course, drugs and precursors identification course, advance assets and financial investigation/anti-money laundering course and advance drug law enforcement course. DG Narcotics Control Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui was sure that the proposed training would help officers in not only their capacity building but it would also be beneficial to the department.
On this occasion Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla expressed his hope that such training would be helpful for these Officers to dispose of their duties in more efficient manner. While in another meeting with Director Taxes Karachi Excise and Taxation and Regional Directors E and T, Sindh Minister for ET and NC and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla asked them to furnish statement showing the position of tax arrears. He also directed them to speed up recovery of the taxes and no lethargic attitude would be tolerated in this regard.
