Srinagar, March 29, 2019 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to prominent martyred Kashmiri freedom leaders, Ashfaq Majid Wani and Advocate Jalil Ahmed Andrabi, on their anniversaries. Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi, Ghulan Nabi Wasim and Ghulam Nabi War in their statements in Srinagar said that Shaheed Ashfaq Majeed Wani was a born freedom fighter with leadership qualities and he always led from the front.
They said Jalil Andrabi was a seasoned advocate of human rights and always highlighted the heinous rights abuses by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. He was brutally tortured after his arrest which ultimately resulted in his martyrdom they said. They reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ resolve to take the mission of their martyrs to its logical conclusion at all costs. The Hurriyat leaders also paid tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in Shopian, Handwara and Badgam areas and said that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go waste.
