City law enforcement officials have successfully apprehended two individuals implicated in a series of house thefts, recovering stolen items valued at 8.7 million rupees, including gold ornaments and a wristwatch.
According to the police report today, the arrests were carried out by the Phulgran police team as part of a continuing, indiscriminate operation against criminal elements throughout the federal capital, an initiative following special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
Officials identified the detained suspects as Khurram and Faisal. During the preliminary stages of the investigation, the pair reportedly confessed to their involvement in committing residential burglaries.
In a statement, the SSP of Operations for Islamabad affirmed that the police force is employing all possible measures to safeguard the lives and property of the citizenry. He emphasized that stringent action will be pursued against any individuals found guilty of dispossessing residents of their valuable belongings.
The senior police official also appealed to the public for their cooperation, urging residents to immediately report any suspicious individuals, activities, or items to the nearest police station or by calling the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline.
