ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday reported two Covid deaths and 578 new pandemic cases in the last 24 hours as the number of confirmed positive cases surged to 1,564,809 while the countrywide virus death toll rose to 30,544 so far.

According to the National Institute of Health (NIH) daily report, 578 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours.

Pakistan has conducted 22,679 tests in the past 24 hours out of which 578 persons were tested positive for the disease. The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 2.55 percent.
