Islamabad, October 05, 2021 (PPI-OT): Jammu and Kashmir People’s Moment Vice Chairman Abdul Majeed Malik, Pir Panjal Freedom Moment Vice Chairman Qazi Imran and Jammu and Kashmir People’s Association Convener Khalid Shabbir have appealed to the UN to play its role in rescuing unarmed Kashmiris from Indian atrocities.

The Hurriyat leaders in their statements issued after a meeting in Islamabad said that killing of Kashmiri youth in fake encounters by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has become a daily routine. The meeting was chaired by Abdul Majeed Malik.

Thousands of women have been raped, they said and added that incidents like Kanan Poshpura gang rape have exposed the true face of so-called democracy in India. They said that Indian forces and intelligence agencies had abducted thousands of people from their homes in the dark of night, most of whom are still missing today. The leaders pointed out that in these circumstances, the Kashmiri people are looking towards the United Nations for rescue from Indian atrocities.
