Karachi, August 18, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises ( Unisame) felicitated Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on being elected and taking oath as the 22nd prime minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. President Unisame Zulfikar Thaver said we are very happy and excited. The sector is proud of him and his determination to bring about a change to make Pakistan a corruption free country and lead the country to progress on all fronts. The Union wishes him best of luck and success in his endeavours to face the challenges.
Thaver said PM Imran Khan does not have a magic wand. We all need to bring about a change by resolving to work hard to change and move on the road to success . Requesting the business community and all Chambers of Commerce and Industry to play active role in fight against corruption. Secondly to remember that change is synonymous with increasing productivity and to educate members not to waste time, fuel , energy , money water and other resources.
Austerity is the need of the hour he said. Thirdly we have to sharpen our tools to improve trade, Agriculture and bring about industrial revolutions by manufacturing import substitution items and promote the concept of “Made in Pakistan. ” The Union chief said we have full faith and confidence in our elected PM Imran Khan and assure him of our full support We are confident he will leave no stone unturned as the PM and will do his best to uplift the sector he said. However he reminded the PM that the SME sector is the majority sector and deserves his priority for economic growth.
