Karachi, June 22, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises has felicitated the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on 70 years of service to Pakistan’s economy and banking and earning the reputation of being one of the best central bank in the world. SBP has made us proud. President UNISAME Zulfikar Thaver said he was delighted to receive invitation from Tariq Bajwa governor to celebrate 70 years of service of State Bank of Pakistan on 1st July 2018 at SBP.
All ex governors Dr Shamshad, Dr Ishrat Hussain , Yaseen Anwar and Ashraf Wathra will share their thoughts on future vision of SBP. Presidents of banks and financial institutions and Unisame chief will have the opportunity for panel discussions with the governor and ex governors.
Quaid e Azam inaugrated SBP on 1st July 1948. Over the last 70 years SBP has done remarkably well. The SBP is one of the few central banks leading the global initiative in financial inclusion. Thaver said he will seek the opportunity to speak to the caretaker Finance and Commerce minister Dr Shamshad to extend the amnesty date , if not already extended.
