Karachi, August 25, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) invited the attention of prime minister (PM) Imran Khan to the need for inclusion of sector representative in all advisory bodies of the state by virtue of it being the majority sector. Their inclusion is a must for full proof support policies and economic growth on fast track.

Thaver appreciated the comments of the PM in his first address to the nation on television channels that the SME sector is the backbone and needs to be uplifted for economic growth. UNISAME assures the PM and his government of full support and have promised to set up innovative industries and increase productivity. They have also committed to modernise their units and have requested the PM to facilitate them and adopt friendly policies of taxation, provide uninterupted energy, reduce duties on raw material, provide technical and marketing support and offer conducive environment for fast track MSME promotion and development.
