QUETTA:Haq Du Tehreek (HDT), Quetta, while condemning the use of force against journalists in the protest demonstration of PTI, Thursday demanded of the authorities to take strict departmental action against officers and officials of Quetta police responsible for using force against journalists during the protest demonstration of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at Airport road, Quetta, said a statement issued by the central secretariat of HDT, Quetta.

Welcoming the announcement of Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) to boycott coverage of Police news, it said that HQT, Quetta under the leadership of Bashir Khan Boxer was ready to extend all kind of assistance to Balochistan Union of Journalists, particularly to Irfan Saeed, President, BUJ and Manzoor Ahmed, General Secretary.

It called on Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Governor Balochistan, Malak Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili and Inspector General of Police, Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh to initiate departmental proceedings against police officers and officers and officials of Quetta police responsible for using force against journalists deputed for the coverage of PTI’s protest demonstration held at Airport Road, Quetta.
