KARACHI:Spokesperson of Sindh Government and Advisor for Law, Environment and Coastal Development Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the opposition has falsely accused PPP MPA Imdad Pitafi of carrying a mobile phone.
“A mobile phone was recovered from Khurram Sher Zaman during the polling. Finding a mobile phone is a clear violation of the rules of the Election Commission,” he said while talking to media at Media Corner of Sindh Assembly Building here today. He further said that the world had seen the plight of those who were blaming others. Khurram Sher Zaman had taken his mobile phone to prove his loyalty.
He said: “Legal action should be taken against Khurram Sher Zaman. He said that this process falls under the category of corrupt practice. Action should be taken against those who raise the slogan of not two but one Pakistan. PTI is a duplicitous people. PTI people are not ideological people. PTI did not believe in its members. PTI people believe that their members if they are given the right to vote according to their conscience, they would not vote for their candidate.”
Wahab said that they were taking mobile phones to reassure Imran Khan. He said: “The mobile phones of Khurram Sherman and his associates should be forensic and it should be seen to whom Khurram Sher Zaman sent pictures. Khurram Sher Zaman has violated the credentials of the House. Immediate action should be taken against him so that those who influence the transparent process of elections can be punished.”
Replying to a question, he said that the Election Commission did a good job by not casting the vote of Khurram Sher Zaman. It had been proved how hypocritical the people of PTI were. The spokesperson of Sindh government said that the Sindh government had provided all facilities to the Election Commission and hoped that the people would cast their votes according to their conscience. There is no precedent in political history for a member to be held hostage. Imran Khan has not fulfilled his promises. Members were worried about this. He said that the members were angry with him due to his poor performance and also accused him of rigging and distributing sweets.
