Islamabad, December 11, 2020 (PPI-OT): Synoptic Situation
A deep westerly wave is present over central and upper parts of the country and likely to persist next 24 hours.
Rain-thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) is expected in Punjab, Potohar region, northeast Balochistan, Upper Sindh, Pakhtunkhuwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Isolated heavy fall and land sliding may occur in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa during the period. snowfall is also expected in Murree/ Galiyat and Nathiagali.
Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province. While, very cold in North Balochistan. However more rain-thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) is expected in Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Fog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh during morning hours.
