A forecast has been made for hot and dry weather in most parts of the country on Tuesday, while partly cloudy conditions are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the possibility of strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain at various locations.

During the past 24 hours, the weather remained hot and dry in most areas of the country. However, some locations in Punjab, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain.

The highest rainfall was recorded in Murree, Punjab, with 42 mm. In Islamabad, the city received 25 mm of rain, while the airport recorded 1 mm. Other places included Saidpur with 18 mm, Golra 15 mm, Bokra 1 mm, Rawalpindi’s Shamsabad and Kachehri 9 mm, Lahore city 4 mm and airport 1 mm, Hafizabad 4 mm, Narowal 3 mm, and Sargodha, Sialkot, and Kasur 1 mm each.

In Kashmir, Muzaffarabad received 21 mm of rain, Garhi Dupatta 14 mm, and Rawalakot and Kotli 5 mm each. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kalam recorded 6 mm and Saidu Sharif 3 mm, while in Gilgit-Baltistan, Chilas had 4 mm, and Skardu and Bunji 2 mm each.

The highest temperature was recorded on Monday in Dadu at 47°C, while Khairpur, Mohenjo-Daro, and Larkana recorded 45°C.

On Tuesday, the weather in Islamabad and its surroundings is expected to remain hot and dry. In Balochistan, there is a possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms with rain at some locations in Khuzdar, Kalat, Lasbela, and surrounding areas.

In different districts of Punjab, partly cloudy conditions are expected in the evening or night, along with strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain in Murree, Galiyat, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, and surrounding areas.

In most districts of Sindh, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, strong winds and thunderstorms with rain are expected in Chitral, Shangla, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Kohistan, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.

Partly cloudy conditions, along with strong winds and thunderstorms with rain, are also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
