New Delhi, July 08, 2021 (PPI-OT):Illegally detained top APHC leader has said that Indian government has kept him in Tihar jail among coronavirus patients to die. He, however, made it clear that he was ready to die the death of martyrdom for the sake of the Kashmir cause. Talking from New Delhi’s Tihar jail to his daughter over telephone in Srinagar, Shabbir Ahmad Shah asked her to never submit any appeal for his release as he has a commitment to the Kashmiri people that he would continue struggle till the settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
Shah said he has sacrificed his life for just demand of Kashmir. He maintained that he would prefer martyrdom for justice and for just demand of Kashmir settlement, but would never compromise on the Kashmir cause. He said that many people in the jail have been infected with coronavirus and some of them have died. He deplored that the corona patients along with other inmates are put in the same room to let them die.
