ISLAMABAD: On the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, work is continuing on emergency basis for the restoration of power supplies in the flood-affected areas.

According to an official report, the Prime Minister himself is monitoring the situation and reports are being presented to him in this regard on daily basis. Dadu-Khuzdar transmission line of National Transmission and Dispatch Company has been repaired. This has restored the supply of electricity to a vast area of central Balochistan.

Work on the restoration of Sibbi-Quetta transmission line, whose ten towers collapsed due to floodwaters, is expected to completed by Saturday. Restoration work on Sibbi-Mach transmission line is also continuing.
