ISLAMABAD: World Cancer Day was observed on Saturday with the aim of spreading awareness and educating people about its detection, treatment, and prevention.
This year theme of the day is “Close the Care Gap,” which is a continuation of the 2022 theme and will last till 2024 with specified objectives for each year. Meanwhile, in a Radio Pakistan’s program, medical expert Dr Sharif Astori said media can play an important role in raising awareness about cancer. He said by using simple food and life style, we can avoid this deadly disease.
