Sindh Governor and Chancellor Kamran Khan Tessori emphasized that Pakistan is full of talent, and the only requirement is a renewed commitment to determination and perseverance.

Speaking at the 14th Convocation of Dow University, he remarked, ‘If you have passion and courage, success will follow, regardless of resources.’

Tessori distributed degrees to successful students and addressed them, saying, ‘Today is the most memorable day of your life. Dedicate this day to your parents and teachers as a token of gratitude. Your professional journey begins today, and I urge you to promise your parents that you will never abandon their support.’

Highlighting the challenges of Pakistan’s economy, he said, ‘Our economic issues require solutions, and you, as the youth, hold the key to resolving them.’ Citing the inspiring story of athlete Arshad Nadeem, he shared, ‘Arshad’s father was a mason, yet he persevered. Despite limited resources, he practiced by lifting cement-filled cans and achieved extraordinary success through his determination.’

He emphasized the responsibilities of the youth, stating, ‘Post-graduation, you now bear the responsibility of solving Pakistan’s economic and social challenges. You are the architects of this nation’s future and must face challenges with courage.’ He further noted, ‘While leaving Pakistan may seem easier, staying here and carving your path is a real challenge.’

Tessori highlighted the ongoing efforts to empower the youth, mentioning that 50,000 students are currently enrolled in free IT courses at the Governor House. ‘The world is moving towards artificial intelligence, and we must equip our youth to stay ahead,’ he added.

He concluded with a call to action, urging everyone to contribute to the nation’s economic recovery: ‘We must all play our part in improving Pakistan’s economy, and together, we can build a brighter future for our country.’

Tessori also shared insights from a Saudi diplomat who mentioned that the first Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency was a Pakistani. Additionally, he reminded the audience that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) played a pivotal role in establishing Emirates Airlines, with its first flight operating from Dubai to Karachi.
