QUETTA:Today’s Women Organization (WTO), has demanded of the authorities to announce date for conducting local bodies election in Quetta, make special arrangements for the security of female presiding officers and polling agents, implement code of conduct so as to create conducive political environment enabling women, special persons and transversal to cast their vote on the day of polling and implement all the clauses of Election Act, 2017, including clauses pertaining to women, special persons and transgenders.

These and similar other demands were made by Sana Durrani, leader of Today’s Women Organisation while addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Saturday.

She said that WTO had been striving for the rights of women, adding that several consultative meetings had been arranged with representatives of civil society and political parties to raise voice for conducting local bodies election in Quetta.

On the occasion, Gul Hassan Durrani, Shamaila Ismail, Ayub Agha, Mohiuddin Rind, Faida Khan Popalzai, Allauddin Khilji, Sadaf Ajmal, Watan Yar, Behram Baloch, Behram Lehri, Riaz Baloch and others were also present.
