Yasin Malik put in solitary confinement at Kot Bhalwal jail

Srinagar, March 09, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has said that its illegally detained Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has been put in solitary confinement at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu and termed it a deliberate attempt to ruin his health.

The JKLF in a statement issued in Srinagar said the way Muhammad Yasin Malik was manhandled by the police, prevented to see his mother and sisters, deprived of a compulsory medical check-up and rushed to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu is shameful and condemnable.

It said Yasin Malik is a heart patient and he is suffering from many other ailments also but shockingly at Kot Bhalwal Jail, he has been put in solitary confinement. “He has been locked inside a barrack and singled out from all other detainees. We caution the administration to refrain from all such undemocratic and unethical acts,” it added.
