YDA, YNA observe Black Day in Sindh

KARACHI:The Young Doctors Association (YDA) and the Young Nurses Association (YNA) on Monday observed the Back Day in Sindh against shortage of personal protective equipments (PPE) for medics and torture on medical staff by police.

They were calling for stopping deduction in salaries. The YDA demanded PPES, health risk allowance, pending salaries of doctors, increase in ventilators at hospitals. They said that screening should be started across Sindh and establishment of infectious diseases hospital in each district of Sindh like Sindh Institute of Infectious Diseases be ensured.

YNA also denounced the unavailability safety kits in the hospitals and torture on nurses by the police in Larkana and Karachi. Talking to PPI, YNA Sindh leader Aijaz Kaleri said that doctors and paramedics urgently needed PPEs. He said working nurses in Sindh also needed transport facility to reach their respective health facilities. He informed that a male and two staff nurses were badly tortured by police in Larkana and Karachi couple of days ago. He demanded justice.
