Youth are our biggest asset; it is vital to train them in IT skills: Dr Khalid Maqbool

Islamabad, January 02, 2019 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that youth are our biggest asset and it is vital to train our youth in information technology skills. The Federal Minister was talking to Rector Virtual University (VU) Dr. Naveed A. Malik who called on him here on Wednesday. Matters related to education were discussed during the meeting. Rector Virtual University briefed the Federal Minister about Virtual University’s programmes and courses.

Rector Virtual University apprised that Virtual University has 176 campuses in different cities and its total graduates to date are 54,695. He said that VU has over 150,000 total strength. He said that VU has biology wet laboratories at Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Karachi. He further apprised that all courses of Virtual University are bilingual. Dr. Naveed said that Virtual University plans to establish its own campuses nationwide.
