NAUNDERO: The 44th death anniversary of PPP Founder and former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was commemorated here on Tuesday in a dignified but simple manner by the party’s leadership and activists.
In Garhi Khuda Bux, Quran Khuwani was held which was participated by Larkana district PPP president MNA Khursheed Junejo, MNA Nasiba Channa, general secretary Aijaz Laghari and other activists. Prayers were held, then the workers also offered Fateha and showered rose petals at the graves of Z A Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Mir Murteza Bhutto and Shahnawaz Bhutto.
These leaders paid rich tributes to the wisdom of the party founder and said that Bhutto still commands the hearts of the masses despite passage of 44 long years. They said that this time anniversary is being observed at every district headquarter across the country and a small scale anniversary gathering is being held at Bhutto House in Naundero today where arrangements for 3000 activists have already been made which will be addressed by party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari before Iftar. They said that mission of Quaid-e-Awam was carried forward by Benazir Bhutto and now it is being toed ahead by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and we are confident that he will succeed and will become the prime minister of Pakistan.
On the other hand, PPP-SB activists also separately observed 44th anniversary of Z A Bhutto. Their caravan reached the final resting place of Bhutto leaders at Garhi Khuda Bux and showered rose petals and offered Dua for the departed souls. Their provincial chief Zubair Jatoi, Ghulam Hyder Narejo and others said that Bhutto was a great leader recognized all over the world who made the country a nuclear power and gave the constitution and empowered the poor. He sacrificed his entire family but did not bow down before any dictator, they added.
