Esteemed former South African Test captain Shaun Pollock is set to make a much-anticipated return to Pakistan, joining the commentary panel for the upcoming two-Test series against the host nation, which commences on 12 October.

Pollock, who previously toured the country as a player in 1997 and 2003, will lend his expert analysis to the broadcast. He will be part of a distinguished panel featuring former Pakistan captains Aamir Sohail, Ramiz Raja, and Waqar Younis, alongside former Test cricketer Bazid Khan, Pakistan Cricket Board

The Test series, a crucial part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27, will kick off with the first match, followed by the second Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 20 to 24 October. The coverage will also include the PCB’s PitchSide Studio, hosted by presenter Zainab Abbas, offering in-depth pre- and post-match analysis.

For the subsequent white-ball leg of the tour, the commentary team will see a few changes. For the three T20Is in Rawalpindi and Lahore, and the three ODIs in Faisalabad, Aamir Sohail and Ramiz Raja will be joined by former Pakistan women”s team captain Urooj Mumtaz. The South African perspective will be provided by JP Duminy and Vernon Philander from 28 October to 8 November.

To enhance the viewing experience for a global audience, the High-Definition broadcast will utilize 28 cameras, including a buggy cam. The Decision Review System (DRS) will be fully equipped with HawkEye and UltraEdge technology to ensure precise officiating.
