The Orange Tree Foundation (OTF) has awarded financial aid to all eleven students nominated by the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), substantially exceeding the four slots initially designated for the 2025-26 cycle.
According to a statement today, a delegation from the Karachi-based nonprofit organization visited the IIUI campus to conduct in-person interviews with shortlisted applicants for its financial aid program, which supports high-achieving students facing economic hardship.
The OTF team, comprising Board Member Ms. Sabeen Rabbani, Senior Manager Admissions Ms. Noureen Amin, and Senior Manager Partnerships Ms. Arooba Ghayas, was received by IIUI’s Director (UAFA) Ms. Nuzhat Zareen and Assistant Director (UAFA) Mr. Arslan Khurshid.
This initiative builds on a collaboration that commenced in 2024 following a visit by the OTF CEO. The inaugural phase saw five scholarships granted in academic fields with robust employment prospects.
Following the productive interview session, Ms. Arooba Ghayas commended the student applicants for their preparedness and self-assurance. On behalf of the university, Ms. Nuzhat Zareen reiterated IIUI”s dedication to strengthening partnerships with organizations that champion educational advancement. Both institutions voiced optimism for the continued growth of their partnership in the coming years.
