The Islamabad Police force has been placed on high alert, with Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq issuing a stern warning of zero tolerance for any negligence in safeguarding citizens or any acts of lawlessness within the federal capital.

The directive was issued on Friday as DIG Tariq conducted a comprehensive tour of various duty points across the city to personally evaluate the overall security situation and review the arrangements in place.

During his visit, he met with deployed officers and personnel, instructing them to remain exceptionally vigilant. He emphasized that the foremost priority of the force is to maintain peace and ensure the well-being of the public.

‘Every officer must stay alert. No negligence will be tolerated when it comes to protecting the lives and property of citizens,’ DIG Tariq declared. He affirmed that the continuity of a peaceful environment and community safety in the capital would be maintained at all costs.

In a strong message to potential disruptors, he cautioned, ‘Any act of mischief or lawlessness will be dealt with immediately, and the law will take its course.’ He added that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.

The DIG also appealed to the citizens for their cooperation in maintaining order and urged them to refrain from participating in any unlawful activity.

‘Protecting the lives and property of citizens is our mission, and public trust is our greatest asset,’ Muhammad Jawad Tariq concluded.
