Three Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel were martyred and five others were injured after security forces thwarted a coordinated suicide attack on the paramilitary force’s headquarters in the Saddar area of Peshawar on Monday morning.

According to the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Peshawar, Mian Saeed, the assault was carried out by three suicide attackers identified as belonging to the Fitna-al-Khawarij.

The official provided details of the foiled attack, explaining that one assailant detonated their explosives at the main entrance of the headquarters.

A second bomber triggered an explosion at a motorcycle stand on the premises, while the third attacker was successfully neutralized by FC troops before they could detonate their device.

The blasts resulted in the martyrdom of three FC officials. An additional five individuals, including two members of the constabulary, sustained injuries in the incident.

Emergency services responded swiftly, and all injured persons have been transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
