Toba Tek Singh: Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad Bhader presided over a review meeting regarding the performance of the second day of the anti-polio campaign and informed about the statistics of children taking polio vaccines.
On the second day, 1,35,201 children were administered polio drops, the officials told the DC. Efforts should be made to make the ongoing anti-polio campaign 100% successful and meet the daily target as per the micro-plan so that no child under five years of age misses the vaccine, according to a statement issued on Saturday.
While reviewing the progress of the implementation of the campaign, the DC urged the polio teams to carry out their responsibilities in a more efficient manner and said that the presence of polio teams at public transport bases, railway stations and other important public places is ensured and vaccination of children carried out there.
