LARKANA:JUI-Fazal Secretary General, Sindh, Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro, has opposed the appointment of ad hoc judges in Sindh High Court (SHC) belonging to other provinces.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said that it is illegal and unjustified to appoint ad hoc judges in Sindh High Court belonging to other provinces. Allama Soomro said that ad hoc judges in SHC must be appointed who belong to Sindh and appointment of judges belonging to other provinces and Azad Kashmir will be opposed.
He said the Supreme Judicial Council, Chief Justice of Supreme Court and Chief Justice of Sindh High Court should take notice of such unlawful appointments of additional judges in Sindh High Court. He said senior local judges and lawyers must be appointed on merit and appointment of near and dear ones or belonging to other provinces will never be accepted. He said Sindh Bar Council must also take notice of these illegal appointments, adding JUI-Fazal would be with the advocates of Sindh.
