SHIKARPUR:Two youngsters, including a nephew of MPA Sohrab Khan Sarki, were kidnapped from Indus Highway near Faizu Laaro within the jurisdiction of Khanpur police station in early hours on Sunday.
According to a report, the MPA’s nephew Rameez Sarki along with his friend Sohail Ahmed Sarki and driver Zaheer Ahmed Sarki were travelling in a car from Khanpur to Thull when a gang of armed men intercepted the car at gunpoint and took them away towards katcha area. However, the dacoits later abandoned the driver and the car on the way.
It may be recalled that within two months, six persons have been kidnapped from the Lakhi and Khanpur talukas who are still in the clutches of the kidnappers. After receiving the information of kidnapping, the Khanpur and Shikarpur police disclosed that bandits’ footprints had been pointed out in the katcha area and in this regard, they were trying their level best for their early and safe recovery.
The law and order situation is going to be worst day by day which have resulted in increase in heinous offences including murders, kidnapping for ransom, road robberies, dacoities, street crimes etc. due to poor performance by the police. Neither the recovery of kidnapped youngsters were reported yet nor any FIR was registered till late evening of Sunday.
