Sindh CM orders relocation of Anti-Encroachment Court

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, following the inauguration of the new Centre for Autism Rehabilitation and Training Sindh (C-ARTS) unit in Sukkur, has directed the local administration to relocate the Anti-Encroachment Court from the autism centre’s premises to a more suitable location.

According to a statement issued by Sindh CM House today, talking to the media, the Chief Minister emphasised that the building housing the courts is intended for the use of children with autism, and its function should not be compromised. ‘If necessary, even the offices of the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner should be vacated to make space for the court,’ he said.

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to address a range of issues, calling for greater cooperation between the four provinces. “All provinces must work together for the betterment of the country. We need to focus on national progress, not on political disputes or sending anyone to jail,’ he remarked, in response to questions about the PTI’s civil disobedience movement.

On the topic of disabled persons’ employment, CM Shah assured that any irregularities in hiring would be promptly addressed. “If someone has been hired improperly, they will be removed, and strict action will be taken against any complaints,’ he asserted.

In regard to water distribution issues, the CM stated that the Council of Common Interests (CCI) is currently reviewing canal disputes, although no work is being carried out on the canals at present.

Addressing concerns over recruitment, CM Shah reiterated that all hiring processes are conducted based on merit. “I have seen videos on social media showing people queuing for jobs, but let me assure you, merit is being upheld in every case,” he stated.

The chief minister also paid tribute to the late journalist Jan Muhammad, saying, “We have not forgotten and will never forget the sacrifice of Shaheed Jan Muhammad.”

Regarding the security situation in the Katcha areas, CM Shah provided an update on the ongoing operations, noting that several dacoits have been neutralised. “I have directed that the cleared areas be developed with infrastructure such as roads, hospitals, and schools to benefit the local population,” he added.
