The Annual General Meeting of the District Armed Services Board for 2024 was held at Shahbaz Hall in Hyderabad today.
The meeting was chaired by Additional Commissioner 1 Gada Hussain Soomro, alongside retired major Khalil Ahmed, Deputy Director of the District Armed Services Board Hyderabad.
The session commenced with prayers for the departed souls of martyrs, followed by a detailed briefing from the Deputy Director. The briefing covered the institution’s role, its responsibilities, and shared annual performance statistics.
A significant proposal discussed during the meeting was the facilitation of retired armed forces personnel in obtaining arms licenses. Additional Commissioner Soomro assured the attendees that the matter would be resolved at the earliest.
During the meeting, participants voiced their concerns, and the Additional Commissioner responded with a commitment to address their issues promptly.
Addressing the gathering, Additional Commissioner Soomro remarked, “The armed forces are our pride and honor. They serve and protect the nation, and it is our duty to support them in every aspect. The district administration of Hyderabad has always been a staunch supporter of the armed forces and will continue to uphold this responsibility.”
