A seminar titled ‘Main Benazir Hoon’ was organized at the Mumtaz Mirza Hall of the Sindh Museum in Hyderabad today on the eve of the 17th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
The event, organized by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh spokesperson Senator Aajiz Dhamrah, was attended by key party leaders, workers, and supporters. The hall was illuminated in memory of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Addressing the gathering, PPP Sindh President Senator Nisar Ahmed Khuhro paid glowing tribute to Benazir Bhutto, recalling her unwavering commitment to democracy and the people of Pakistan. ‘Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto knew the risks she faced but returned to Pakistan to stand with her people. She sacrificed her life for her party, her nation, and the democratic ideals she believed in,’ he said.
Senator Moula Bakhsh Chandio described Benazir Bhutto as a leader who inspired respect even from her adversaries. ‘Her vision and love for the people were unmatched. The memory of her martyrdom brings tears to our eyes, as she was not just our leader but also a guiding light for the nation,’ Chandio said.
Other speakers, including Hyderabad PPP President Tariq Shah Jamot, also lauded the sacrifices made by Benazir Bhutto in challenging times. The speakers reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals of Benazir Bhutto and expressed confidence in the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
