Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah’s visit to Sukkur resulted in major advancements in education and infrastructure, alongside initiatives to improve community safety and enhance the irrigation system.
According to the Chief Minister House report today, the chief minister inaugurated several new facilities at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, including hostels, an auditorium, an art gallery, and a wax museum.
He announced the “Bhutto Scholarship Program” at Oxford University, offering six annual scholarships to students from Sindh to promote higher education on a global scale.
At IBA Sukkur, recognized as the ‘crown jewel’ of Sindh’s education sector, Shah praised the institution’s contribution to developing future leaders. He noted the province’s growth in higher education with the establishment of 20 new public universities over the past 12 years.
Focusing on infrastructure and security, Shah inaugurated a modernized police station in Sukkur, urging officials to prioritize community policing and modernize complaint registration. He also inspected repair work at Sukkur Barrage, emphasizing the need for timely completion to bolster the agro-economy.
