Sports Festival begins in Sukkur, cricket, football matches held

Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Department organized Sports Festival started with an opening ceremony.

Cricket, football, pitho garam, and track and field competitions were showcased. One hundred and eighty participants were given shirts.

Four cricket squads, six football teams, and four pitho garam groups are participating in the tournament. Enthusiastic youth are also participating in exciting 100meter and 200meter races.

Prominent personalities who attended the opening ceremony included Engineer Khalid Baloch (Sports Complex Sukkur), Isphandiyar Mangi (Deputy Director Special Children), Muhammad Akhlaq Memon (District Sports Officer Sukkur), and Mushtaq Bhutto (First Class Cricketer Sukkur).

The speakers emphasized the importance of sports activities and inspired the young participants. They noted that such programs not only showcase skills but also promote a healthy lifestyle.

The championship match is scheduled for June 24 at Gangoti Ground Rohri, creating anticipation among competitors and spectators.

The Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Department organized the entire competition to promote the sporting abilities of young people and provide opportunities for them.
