Pakistan women’s cricket team is gearing up for a demanding 2025-26 season, packed with international tours, major tournaments, and domestic competitions, as announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today.
The released schedule outlines a comprehensive plan for the national team, including two ICC World Cups and crucial ICC Women”s Championship fixtures. The squad will kick off their international campaign with a three-match T20I series against Ireland in Dublin from August 6th to 10th. Following the Ireland tour, they will host South Africa for a three-match ODI series in Lahore from September 16th to 22nd, a vital warm-up for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka and India.
Pakistan”s World Cup journey begins on October 2nd, with seven league-stage matches scheduled until October 24th. The semi-final is slated for October 29th and the final on November 2nd, both in Colombo. The team’s ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 campaign will commence with a tour of South Africa from February 7th to March 2nd, 2026, featuring three ODIs and three T20Is.
Zimbabwe will then visit Pakistan for three ODIs and T20Is from April 24th to May 11th, 2026. Prior to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England, the team will participate in a tri-nation T20 tournament in Ireland with the West Indies in May-June. The T20 World Cup, concluding the international calendar, will run from June 12th to July 5th.
On the domestic front, the National Women’s One-Day Tournament will occur in Karachi from November 6th to 24th, followed by the National Women’s T20 Tournament from March 24th to April 17th, 2026. An Inter-University tournament is also scheduled for October 2025. The PCB is also exploring a departmental tournament to further enhance playing opportunities for women cricketers.
Pathways cricket also features prominently, with a National Women’s U19 T20 Tournament in Karachi from September 15th to October 6th, preceding a Pakistan U19 tour of Bangladesh in December. Head of Women’s Cricket, Rafia Haider, emphasized the board”s dedication to providing consistent playing opportunities for women cricketers at all levels, aiming to prepare them thoroughly for the upcoming season”s challenges and successes.
