Saleema Imtiaz Set For ODI Debut In Pakistan-South Africa Women’s Series

Saleema Imtiaz is poised to make her One Day International (ODI) officiating debut in the upcoming three-match women’s series between Pakistan and South Africa, scheduled to take place at Lahore”s Gaddafi Stadium from September 16th to 22nd. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the match officials for the series, marking a significant milestone in Imtiaz”s career.

The PCB announcement revealed that Imtiaz, a member of the ICC International Panel of Umpires, will be joined by Australia”s Claire Polosak, who will officiate as an on-field umpire in all three ODIs. Polosak returns to Pakistan after officiating in the Pakistan versus West Indies women”s series in Karachi last year.

Humairah Farah has been appointed as the reserve umpire for the series. Tariq Rasheed, from the PCB Elite Panel of Umpires, will also perform on-field umpiring duties throughout the series. Overseeing the playing control team will be former Test cricketer and member of both the PCB and ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, Ali Naqvi.

The appointments for each match are as follows: The first ODI on September 16th will see Polosak and Imtiaz as on-field umpires, with Rasheed as third umpire and Farah as reserve umpire. For the second ODI on September 19th, Polosak and Rasheed will be the on-field umpires, while Imtiaz will act as the third umpire. The third and final ODI, on September 22nd, returns to the officiating lineup of the first game, with Polosak and Imtiaz on-field, Rasheed as third umpire, and Farah as the reserve. Naqvi will serve as match referee for all three fixtures.
