A high-level meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party Sukkur Division discussed flood risks, the situation of increased monsoon intensity, and immediate relief coordination.
Provincial President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro informed the participants that according to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, unusually heavy rains are expected across the province, which will increase the risk of flooding in low-lying and riverside zones. He warned that the increasing flow of the river could put pressure on irrigation systems, roads, and settlements if timely protective measures are not taken.
He emphasized that in case of displacement, residents should be moved to safe places and provided with basic services.
