Ravi River water level rises, Okara faces threats, evacuation begins

Okara and Renala Khurd are facing serious threats due to the rising water level in the Ravi River, in view of which large-scale evacuation operations continued throughout the night.

Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed is leading the emergency operations on behalf of the district administration to protect the residents and their property.

Assistant Commissioner Anam Ali Khan is supervising the relocation of people from the villages along the river. She has directed the Revenue Department and other relevant agencies to continue working uninterruptedly until all affected populations are moved to safe places.

Protection of life and property is of utmost importance due to the increasing flood threats. Citizens are requested to fully cooperate with the administrative officials and other agencies in relocating to safe places.
