On the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Police is on high alert in view of the flood situation in the Chenab, Sutlej, and Ravi rivers.
Rescue and relief activities are underway in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Okara, Narowal, and other affected districts. Regional and district police officers are supervising relief operations in the submerged areas.
Police officers are engaged in transferring citizens to safe places and providing essential items such as food, clean drinking water, and medical assistance.
Police command centers are constantly monitoring the changing flood situation. Arrangements for accommodation, food, medical facilities, and other necessities are being made for the displaced people in the relief centers established in the affected districts. Punjab Police is in constant contact with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), local authorities, and rescue and security agencies.
