Four children were killed and twelve others injured, several critically, when a passenger van overturned near the Pangrio Sugar Mill in Badin. The Suzuki pickup van was carrying pilgrims of the Rind tribe from Sher Khan Rind village in Tando Muhammad Khan district to the shrine of Sufi saint Syed Saman Sarkar near Pangrio. The van overturned due to a tire burst, resulting in the death of four children at the scene.
The deceased children, identified as Majid Ali, Sapna, Shukriya, and Shukran, included three girls and one boy. Twelve other passengers, Mumtaz Rind, Safeena, Tufail Ahmed, Wajid Ali, Sohail, Muharram, Naseema, Mudassir, Aqsa, Majid Ali, Irfana, and Mithan, were injured.
The victims were transported to Tando Bago Taluka Headquarters Hospital in various vehicles and ambulances. They were provided initial medical treatment there. Critically injured individuals were later shifted to medical centers in Badin and Hyderabad. The hospital declared an emergency in response to the mass casualty incident.
