Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Introduce Computerized Land Records, E-Property Cards

According to Provincial Minister for Revenue and Estate, Nazir Abbasi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is set to become the first province in Pakistan to fully computerize all land revenue records, accessible through e-property cards. A committee, overseen by the Director Land Revenue, is expediting the digitization process for all districts, including newly merged areas. Citizens will soon be able to benefit from the convenience of e-cards.

Pilot service centers are being established in Abbottabad, Havelian, Qalandarabad, Mirpur, Bakot, and Galiyat. The feasibility of transforming Abbottabad’s old tehsil building into a modern service center is being explored.

75,000 agricultural land and property transfer documents have been prepared in Hazara Division, with 29,000 in Abbottabad alone. A committee supervised by the Deputy Commissioner is working to address this longstanding issue for farmers, with relevant legislation expected next year.

Reflecting Chairman Imran Khan’s vision, Minister Abbasi emphasized the importance of Thandiani Road for tourism and job creation. The restoration of the Ayubia chairlift is also imminent. These announcements were made during a media briefing.

Transparency in the Revenue Department is Minister Abbasi’s top priority. The Member Board of Revenue and their staff are compiling improved records for the province. He commended the cooperation of Abbottabad Assembly members Rajab Ali Abbasi, Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani, and Iftikhar Khan Jadoon for regional development, infrastructure enhancements, improved link roads, upgrading Basic Health Units, and addressing teacher shortages in district schools. Specifically, the Bakot Basic Health Unit (BHU) is being upgraded to a Rural Health Center and equipped with modern resources. The land acquisition challenge for Bakot Degree College will be addressed to promote higher education.
