Pakistan and fifteen other countries have issued a stern caution to Israel regarding potential threats against the Global Sumud Flotilla, a humanitarian aid convoy destined for Gaza.
The foreign ministers of the involved nations, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Ireland, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mexico, Oman, Qatar, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, and Trkiye, jointly voiced serious apprehensions about the flotilla’s safety.
They emphasized the purely humanitarian nature of the mission, declaring any interference or aggression a breach of human rights and international regulations. The diplomats cautioned that illicit actions against the aid convoy participants would have repercussions.
The joint declaration highlighted the shared objective of an immediate Gaza ceasefire, unimpeded humanitarian aid delivery, and adherence to international statutes. It underscored that assaults on vessels in international waters or unlawful seizures would face international accountability.
