Assistant Commissioner Okara, Faisal Waleed, conducted a surprise inspection of roti prices and weight at several hotels and bakeries in Deepalpur on Tuesday. He also reviewed the public display of fixed roti rates.
Assistant Commissioner Faisal Waleed assured that subsidized flour is being provided to the public and no leniency will be shown towards those selling roti at exorbitant prices. Heavy fines will be imposed on violators.
He warned hotel and bakery owners against any price manipulation and stressed adherence to official rates. He directed them to ensure correct weight and price for consumers, preventing exploitation.
